All the way through my high school career I have had ideas about what careers I wanted to succeed. I had thoughts about attending a criminal justice institute, but then one day I decided that I wanted to attend a technical institute for mechanics. I decided to pick this career because of the fact that seen my father work on our cars since I was little. In order for me to achieve my goal in this area, I need to finish high school and immediately go to college.
While in college, I plan to earn my degree in automotive mechanics, with the hopes to graduate with a higher GPA. I also would like to play college sports. Playing sports through out my life has helped me tremendously because it helps me concentrate on my academics and help me not slip through the cracks.
After graduating with my degree I plan to excel my career through mechanic shop. In this field of work I would like to become a certified mechanic. My decision for this is because I find it amazing to help people and I enjoy my time under a car accomplishing my goal needed to keep peoples car moving. In addition, the only way for me to achieve such great goals is through the help of scholarships and grants.
For me to succeed this dream, I need the money and support of my peers and family to persist through financial and academic challenges. My American birth certificate will allow me to utilize government grants and loans while my history of part-time work allows me to feel confident that part-time jobs will be available to me through college to help myself with bills. However, my family does not have the means to assist me financially through college. I have also had plenty of support from my family to achieve my career of choice.
Opportunities are found in numerous places, and my drive to compete for any and all scholarships is strong. Humbly, I am asking Alpine Bank Hispanic-Latino Student Scholarship to invest in my future, for the reason being that I will help keep peoples cars in good shape and in good condition so that they can keep moving forward in life.
